Part-Time Lecturer (Earth System Science)

General Summary

The Department of Geography & Geology is seeking individuals to serve as Instructors for Earth System Science (ESSC) laboratory sections and, with the potential, to teach lecture sections for Fall 2026.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Meet with students during and outside of assigned classes
• Absess student work and performance
• Prepare syllabi and course materials
• Provide copies of syllabi and course materials to their supervisor on request
• Assign and submit grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules
• Perform related departmental duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

• Candidates must have at least a Master's degree in Geology, Earth Science, Meteorology, or a closely related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching experience preferred
