Part Time LBS1 Instructor - 1-to-1 Education

About the role

Brightmont Academy provides one-on-one educational support for students from 1st to 12th grade. Founded in 1999, we specialize in creating a personalized learning environment that fosters academic success and personal growth.

Responsibilities

• Use the provided curriculum (APEX Learning) and implement accommodations and modifications based on Individualized Education Program (IEP).
• Work with students in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Specific Learning Disability (SLD) programs.
• Focus on individual student needs and learning styles during one-on-one instruction.
• Collaborate with a case manager to handle administrative tasks such as parent conferences and grading.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree and LBS1 certification
• Patience and empathy to support diverse learning needs
• A heart for teaching and a passion to inspire students
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS)
• Ability to provide fingerprints and pass a federal background check
