Part-time Instructor, Basic Law Enforcement Training

About the role

Wake Technical Community College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Basic Law Enforcement Training courses. Positions may not currently be available but may be created based on departmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Delivers instruction that reflects appropriate learning outcomes consistent with the most current Commission Standards
• Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance
• Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner in compliance with the current Course Management Guide
• Remains current and knowledgeable in area of expertise
• Utilizes Adult Learning Concepts
• Conducts all required practical exercises and utilizes all mandated equipment and audio-visual aids noted in the lesson plans and/or instructor notes
• Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment

Requirements

• Valid Current Certified North Carolina General Criminal Justice Instructor Certification from the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards or North Carolina Sheriff's Education Training and Standards
• Specialized instructor certifications and current CPR are required for some topical areas
