Part-time HR Generalist

About The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established nonprofit organization seeking a Part-Time HR Generalist to support its Human Resources team through the end of the year. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career HR professional who has experience managing leave of absence (LOA) processes and enjoys a variety of HR administrative responsibilities. Looking for candidates that are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

• Manage and track employee Leave of Absence (LOA) requests and related documentation
• Ensure leave paperwork is accurate, complete, and processed in a timely manner
• Create and post job descriptions for open positions
• Coincide interview scheduling between candidates and hiring managers
• Support recruiting activities through administrative coordination (no sourcing required)
• Aid with HRIS data entry as the organization transitions to a new HR system
• Help update employee handbook content and HR documentation
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR files
• Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department
• Aid with additional HR projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Human Resources experience
• Hands-on experience managing Leave of Absence (LOA) processes
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business software

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Paylocity
• Experience supporting HRIS data entry or system transitions

Schedule

Schedule Approximately 20 hours per week

Flexible schedule

Preference for working three days per week

Preferred onsite days are Tuesday and Wednesday, with one additional flexible workday

Initial onsite training required before transitioning to a hybrid schedule

Compensation

$32.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience

Contract assignment through the end of the year
