We are looking for a Part Time HR Generalist to support key people operations activities for an organization based in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who can balance employee support, administrative accuracy, and day-to-day HR coordination in a part-time capacity.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers by addressing workplace questions, resolving routine concerns, and guiding policy-related matters.
- Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including pre-employment documentation, orientation scheduling, and timely completion of required records.
- Administer benefits-related processes by assisting with enrollments, updates, employee inquiries, and communication of available programs.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and HR documentation, ensuring data is updated consistently across files and systems.
- Use HRIS tools to enter, track, and verify employee information, supporting reporting needs and improving data integrity.
- Assist with HR administrative operations such as preparing letters, processing status changes, and monitoring compliance-related paperwork.
- Partner with leadership and internal stakeholders to support employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Human Resources Generalist or closely related HR support role.
- Working knowledge of employee relations practices, HR administration, and onboarding coordination.
- Experience handling benefits processes and responding to employee questions with accuracy and professionalism.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and confidence managing employee data in digital systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a part-time work arrangement.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, along with a high level of discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with managers, employees, and cross-functional teams.
