PART-TIME HOSPITALITY LEAD

About the role

The New Kent Winery and Talleysville Brewing Company is seeking a part‑time Hospitality Lead. This first‑line manager will supervise front‑of‑house staff, run the tasting/tap room, promote wine, beer and food sales, and oversee general event and retail operations. The Hospitality Lead reports directly to the owners and works with a passion for great wine, craft beer, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily tasting room operations, including opening/closing, drawer reporting, gift certificates, and other procedures.
• Maintain overall cleanliness and appearance of the tasting room for customers.
• Assist in hiring and training new staff members in the retail operation.
• Work with new staff or assign them to Assistant Leads for on‑the‑job training.
• Conduct weekly tasting room updates to staff via email and in‑person meetings.
• Assist in planning and orchestrating scheduled public events for the operation.
• Assist with scheduling musicians and food trucks.
• Coordinate expectations with vendors and keep up‑to‑date records of confirmations for owners.
• Organize and manage employee schedules, maintaining needed staffing levels for daily operation.
• Handle inventory management and private events.
• Make judgment calls and decisions in tasting room operations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
