Part-Time Hospice RN

On-Call Hospice Nurse Provides direct palliative care to terminally ill patients and their families within a structured plan of care. Responsibilities include performing in-person patient visits, assessing and monitoring symptoms, administering medication, wound care, and managing pain. Educates patients and families about disease progression and dying process, coordinates hospice services, and ensures accurate documentation compliant with regulatory standards. Communicates effectively with team members, participates in training, and travels as needed. Qualifications: Current, active RN license in Colorado, valid driver's license, and insurance. Strong assessment skills, knowledge of pain and symptom management, and experience in hospice preferred. Must demonstrate professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude. Work Environment: Locations include offices, care facilities, and patient homes, with exposure to infectious diseases requiring universal precautions. Travel is required with mileage reimbursement. Continuing Education: Minimum of 12 hours annually, including mandatory in-services.
