Part-time Golf Assistant I/II
About the role
This position plays a crucial role in setting the initial impression guests have of the golf course, focusing on areas such as clubhouse appearance, cart and driving range maintenance, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests as they arrive to the course.
- Welcome guests as they enter the clubhouse.
- Keeping the golf shop neat and organized, including dusting, vacuuming, organizing and rotating inventory and stock.
- Maintaining special signage around the clubhouse and monitoring hourly bathroom checks.
- Monitoring pace of play and reacting to issues to ensure no more than 4.5-hour pace of play.
- Maintaining and assigning tasks to cart/range attendants.
- Performing other related work as assigned.
Requirements
- One (1) year experience in customer service/cash handling preferred but not required.
- Golf/hospitality/service industry experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid California driver's license and demonstrate a good driving record.
- Standing or walking 70% of the time or more, and requiring regular climbing, bending, kneeling/squatting/stooping, reaching overhead/stretching, crawling; some working on rough and/or uneven terrain, and handling and dexterity; may be required to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.
- The ability to operate standard office equipment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma, although it is not required. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and good computer skills are essential. The position requires a good driving record and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
