ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aid in the operations of the Emergency Food Pantry and other food distribution programs.
- Assist with volunteer coordination.
- Assist with ordering food from the Food Bank and other vendors.
- Pickup, unload, stock and inventory.
- Assist with client intake as needed.
- Greet guests and route people to the correct program.
- Assist in the operation of seasonal programs including Long Point Camp recruitment, Holiday food, Angel Tree.
- Recruit and schedule volunteer bell ringers, set up and collection of kettles, relieve volunteers and ring as needed.
- Manage the cleaning and upkeep of the physical site.
SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- A High School Diploma/GED or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 1-year related experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized and able to multi-task.
- Proficiency with computer office programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Database, internet, etc.).
- Valid Driver’s License that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirements.
