ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Aid in the operations of the Emergency Food Pantry and other food distribution programs.
  • Assist with volunteer coordination.
  • Assist with ordering food from the Food Bank and other vendors.
  • Pickup, unload, stock and inventory.
  • Assist with client intake as needed.
  • Greet guests and route people to the correct program.
  • Assist in the operation of seasonal programs including Long Point Camp recruitment, Holiday food, Angel Tree.
  • Recruit and schedule volunteer bell ringers, set up and collection of kettles, relieve volunteers and ring as needed.
  • Manage the cleaning and upkeep of the physical site.

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • A High School Diploma/GED or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 1-year related experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and able to multi-task.
  • Proficiency with computer office programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Database, internet, etc.).
  • Valid Driver’s License that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirements.
