Part Time/Flexible HR Consultant - Tennessee

About the role

Catapult is seeking consultants located in Tennessee, ideally in the Nashville metro area, to support client organizations through ongoing fractional HR assignments. This part‑time, flexible, remote‑first role allows experienced HR professionals to stay engaged in meaningful, impactful projects without a full‑time commitment. Assignments vary in scope, duration, and hours, and are not guaranteed to be ongoing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic and tactical HR support to multiple clients across many industries.
• Provide guidance in all areas of HR, including compliance, employee relations, performance management, benefits, and more.
• Help implement or manage payroll, HRIS systems, and leave administration processes.
• Conduct workplace investigations and advise on employment law compliance.
• Build strong client relationships through responsive, professional service.

Key Details

• Part‑time, flexible role; assignments are project‑based and not guaranteed to be ongoing or follow a regular schedule.
• Remote‑first position, with the requirement to travel to local client sites in Tennessee as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of exempt‑level HR Generalist and/or HR Management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, client‑focused, and adaptable.
• Experience with payroll and HRIS implementations (preferred).
• Background in benefits and leave administration (preferred).
• Strategic HR and people management experience (strongly preferred).
• HR certification(s) preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP).
