Part Time Family Services Case Aide

About the role

Contract position housed at Choctaw County DHR. The Family Service Case Aide will perform services essential to strengthening families' ability to provide a safe nurturing home environment for children by maintaining them in their home or the home of a relative.

Responsibilities

• Arranging and supervising visits between children and their parents or relatives
• Assisting caseworker in arranging and providing needed services
• Providing parent education
• Conducting home visits
• Providing other similar services as outlined in the family's Individualized Service Plan (ISP)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Age 21 or older
• Reliable personal vehicle with liability insurance
• Valid Alabama driver’s license
• Successful criminal background check
• Child Neglect and Abuse registry clearance
• Use of personal insured vehicle required; mileage reimbursement at $0.70 per mile
