Part-Time Faculty - Sociology (South)

About the role

Applications for part-time faculty positions in sociology are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed if openings become available. These positions are not current vacancies. Instructors employed as part-time faculty are not entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees. Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course. Compensation is assigned according to Salary Grade AH, based on the Board‑approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year (see Salary Schedule).

Responsibilities

• Teach sociology‑related course work.
• May be assigned evening and/or weekend classes.
• Use various delivery methods based on the teaching area and student needs.
• May require physical presence at the assigned on‑site work location.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree with eighteen (18) graduate hours in Sociology.
