Part-Time Faculty - Sociology (Central)

About the role

Applications for part-time faculty positions in Sociology are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed as openings become available. These positions are not current vacancies. Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and work for the duration specified by the respective course. Instructors in these roles do not receive all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees.

Responsibilities

• Teach Sociology-related course work.
• Use various delivery methods based on teaching area, student needs, and College requirements, which may require physical presence at an on‑site work location.
• Possibly teach evening and/or weekend classes as part of the teaching assignment.

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree with eighteen (18) graduate hours in Sociology.

Pay

Salary Grade: AH; salary is determined according to the Board‑approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year (see the Salary Schedule).

Schedule

Teaching assignments may include evening classes and possibly weekend classes.
