Part-Time Faculty- Physical Science

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and reside in Maryland or one of the following states: Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia.
About the role
The Physical Sciences department at AACC is building a pool of qualified part-time faculty to support classroom and lab instruction. Candidates will be contacted each semester based on student enrollment and program needs.
We are accepting applications for the following subjects:
- General Physical Science
- Fundamentals of Weather
- Oceanography
- Physical Geology
- History of Science
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned class(es) in accordance with expectations specified by the course coordinator.
- Assess student progress in meeting learning objectives through formal and informal assessment.
- Adhere to safety procedures and departmental standards.
- Meet required deadlines for submitting grades, attendance, and other requested information.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in the discipline or a closely related field.
Qualifications
Teaching experience preferred.
