Part-Time Faculty- English

Position Summary

The School of Liberal Arts is looking for part-time faculty who are able to teach the following Freshman Composition courses: ENG 101 - Academic Writing and Research 1, ENG 102 - Academic Writing and Research 2. Candidates must be able to teach in a face-to-face, in person capacity during daytime, evening, or weekend hours and be experienced with online teaching in both synchronous and asynchronous formats.

Work Mode

This position requires regular in-person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Teach assigned class(es) in accordance with department policies, curriculum requirements, and instructional mode.
• Assess student progress in meeting the learning objectives of the course through formal and informal assessment.
• Meet required deadlines for submitting book orders, grades, attendance, and other information as required.
• Adhere to departmental standards and college safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

• A master's degree in English or a related field and documented teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous college-level teaching experience preferred.
