Part-Time Adjunct Faculty, English

About the role

Northwest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) seeks qualified applicants to establish a pool for part-time and/or substitute instructors to teach courses in English, Reading and Writing Studio, and Academic Literacy Lab.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in English, Reading and Writing Studio, and Academic Literacy Lab.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in English, or a Master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in English, is required.
• Teaching experience is preferred.
• Experience with leadership at a community college or educational institution is a plus.
• Demonstrated teaching ability is the top priority.
• Instructional experience and leadership experience at a community college is a priority.
• Ability to use an on-line platform.
• On-line delivery of instruction, use of technology for instruction, and experience or interest in project based, service learning, or inquiry based learning will be given special consideration.

Schedule

Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer.
