Position Specifics

Penn State Hazleton is seeking qualified part-time faculty to teach undergraduate courses in English and Communications including but not limited to Rhetoric & Composition, Writing Tutorial, and Effective Speech. Course will be taught in person on the Penn State Hazleton campus.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline (or closely related field) is required.
  • Teaching assignments may include day or evening times and various methods of course delivery.
  • Most teaching assignments will be in-person, with occasional opportunities for hybrid or online teaching.

Campus Security and Crime Statistics

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
