Health part-time faculty are hired on an as-needed basis for the duration of the assigned course and are not entitled to full-time employee benefits, rights, or privileges.
Teaching assignments may include day, evening, or weekend classes and can be delivered in various modalities — including in-person, hybrid, or online formats — depending on program needs and student requirements.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned Emergency Medical Services courses.
- Prepare and deliver course content that aligns with college and program standards.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
- Provide students with timely feedback and support to promote success.
- Follow college policies, procedures, and professional expectations.
- Maintain an on-site presence as required by course delivery and program needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in Emergency Medical Services.
- Current Texas Paramedic Certification.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher.
- Knowledge of instructional methods and prior teaching experience preferred.
Pay
Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year.
