Part-Time Faculty - Emergency Medical Services (North)

Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed as needed. These postings represent a pool of potential instructors, not current vacancies. Health part-time faculty are hired on an as-needed basis for the duration of the assigned course and are not entitled to full-time employee benefits, rights, or privileges.

Teaching assignments may include day, evening, or weekend classes and can be delivered in various modalities — including in-person, hybrid, or online formats — depending on program needs and student requirements.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Emergency Medical Services courses.
• Prepare and deliver course content that aligns with college and program standards.
• Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
• Provide students with timely feedback and support to promote success.
• Follow college policies, procedures, and professional expectations.
• Maintain an on-site presence as required by course delivery and program needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in Emergency Medical Services.
• Current Texas Paramedic Certification.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher.
• Knowledge of instructional methods and prior teaching experience preferred.

Pay

Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year.
