Job Description And Position Requirements
Penn State Wilkes-Barre seeks exceptional part-time faculty to teach undergraduate courses across multiple disciplines including: Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Economics, Education, Engineering, Finance, History, Mathematics, and Sociology.
Position Overview
Part-time faculty members play a vital role in our academic community by delivering high-quality instruction and supporting student success.
Responsibilities
- Teaching assigned courses
- Developing and preparing comprehensive course materials
- Providing meaningful support, guidance, and mentorship to students
- Maintaining accurate and timely grade reporting
- Contributing to a positive learning environment
Qualifications
- Required: Master's degree in the relevant discipline or closely related field
- Preferred: Previous teaching experience at the college level
- Flexibility with class scheduling
- Commitment to student-centered learning

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
