Part-Time Faculty- Academic Literacies

Job Summary

The School of Liberal Arts is seeking part-time faculty to teach in the Academic Literacies department. Responsibilities include teaching developmental integrated reading and writing courses that prepare students for college-level writing assignments in academic contexts. The position involves daytime, evening, and online sections at the Main Campus and satellite locations.

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in an educational or writing intensive field such as adult education, reading, English, or developmental education.
• Minimum of two years of related full-time professional experience teaching reading at a secondary level or above.
• Master's degree preferred.

Work Mode and Schedule

This position requires regular in-person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties. Hours per week vary based on course load.

Pay and Benefits

Salary range varies. Employment-based visa sponsorship is not available for any position. Only individuals who are residents of Maryland or one of the specified states are eligible for employment at the college.
