Part-Time Emergency Department Nurse Manager

About the role

This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining equipment, and overseeing departmental operations in an emergency care setting. The role includes hiring, training, evaluating staff, and ensuring productivity aligns with organizational goals. It requires participation in staffing, budgeting, and staff development activities to support efficient department functioning.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff performance, conduct evaluations, and facilitate professional development.
• Develop and adhere to departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budgets.
• Oversee patient care planning, documentation, and implementation based on assessments and medical treatment.
• Coordinate staffing needs, assign nursing duties, and manage overtime and payroll processes.
• Lead staff communication, meetings, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure operational goals are met through productivity management and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Required: Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree, RN license, 2-5 years of experience, supervisory experience preferred.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, 5-10 years of experience, less than 2 years of supervisor experience.
• Additional Requirements: Experience in team leadership, charge, or ANM roles, and emergency medicine experience are advantageous.
