Responsibilities

  • Provide academic instruction to at-risk elementary students.
  • Teach life skills and facilitate recreational activities.
  • Manage student behavior and conduct team-building activities.
  • Transport students to and from the program as needed.
  • Record keeping, tuition tracking, and fee collection.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, youth ministry, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children, especially those from low-income, high-risk families.
  • Strong classroom leadership and behavior management skills.
  • Organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license and good driving record.

  • $20 - $23.50/hour based on education, experience, and language ability.

Schedule

  • Expected hours: 25-28/week during the academic year, 35-40 hours/week in the summer (June 1st-July 31st).
  • Hours vary during school breaks and holiday weeks, and some evening or weekend hours are required for special events and other program needs.
