Part Time Elementary Teacher

About the Role

Brightmont Academy offers a part‑time elementary teaching position focused on one‑to‑one instruction. You will work with a single student at a time, tailoring lessons to their unique needs and learning styles. The role requires no lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading outside of classroom time, allowing you to concentrate on inspiring your student.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in your subject area (e.g., English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics, or related field).
• Patience and empathy to support diverse learning styles.
• A genuine passion for teaching and sharing your subject.
• Proficiency with G‑Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA only) and pass a federal background check.

Bonus Qualifications

• Orton‑Gillingham training.
• Teaching certification (nice to have, not required).
• Advanced degree in a specific subject area.
• Previous one‑to‑one teaching experience.

Pay

$22‑24 per hour.
