About the role

Responsibilities

• Tailor lessons to individual student needs and learning styles
• Guide students towards mastery through a gradual release approach
• Focus on building confidence and academic success
• Eliminate the need for lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading
• Enjoy professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in your subject area (English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics—anything that fuels your passion)
• Patience and empathy to support diverse learners
• A genuine passion to teach and inspire the next generation
• Proficiency in using G-Suite and LMS
• The ability to provide fingerprints (Arizona and Washington state only) and pass a federal background check

Bonus Qualifications

• Orton Gillingham training
• A teaching certification (though not required)
• An advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise
• Previous one-to-one teaching experience
