Part Time Educator (Wiseburn)

About the role

Right At School seeks part-time educators to support our mission of inspiring a love of learning, supporting schools, and giving parents peace of mind. Our educators work inside Wiseburn Schools, engaging children in academic and social character-building activities.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities
• Document attendance, incidents, and other observations
• Deliver dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in meaningful ways
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager for professional progress and team accountability

Requirements

• Complete a new LIVE Scan fingerprint and provide or obtain a completed Health Certificate with a Negative TB Test from a physician
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Have 1+ years of experience with youth ages 12 years-14 years in a school or group setting

Qualifications

• College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or a related field are preferred but not required
• Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills
• Experience working with children between 12 years and 15 years of age is a plus

• Positive guidance and effective classroom management
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to lift 40 lbs

Pay

$19.00-$21.00 per hour (depending on years of experience in youth childcare in a school or group setting)

Schedule

Typically 2:30 pm-6:00 pm (may vary slightly), Monday-Friday (must be able to work Monday through Friday)
