Part Time Educator (Wiseburn)

About the role

The Part-Time After-School Staff plays a crucial role in Right At School's mission to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give parents peace of mind. They are responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children, fostering their academic and social growth.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities
• Document attendance, incidents, and other observations
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children
• Lead fun fitness activities and guide children at play
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Mentor and support homework completion
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all children
• Regularly meet with the Program Manager for professional progress and team accountability

Requirements

• Complete a new LIVE Scan fingerprint and provide or obtain a completed Health Certificate with a Negative TB Test from a physician
• Be 18+ years of age
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Have 1+ years of experience with youth ages 12 years-14 years in a school or group setting

Qualifications

• Education: College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or a related field is preferred but not required
• Experience: Works well in a team environment, experience working with children between 12 years and 15 years of age is a plus

Pay

$19.00-$21.00 per hour (depending on years of experience in youth childcare in a school or group setting)

Schedule

Typically 2:30 pm-6:00 pm (may vary slightly), Monday-Friday (must be able to work Monday through Friday)
