About the role

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Responsibilities

• Participate in daily program meetings to review goals, share ideas, discuss professional progress, and encourage team collaboration and accountability.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities and curriculum aligned with program objectives, ensuring they are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to ensure children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
• Prioritize safety by monitoring the environment, addressing potential hazards, and following all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (3-5 years preferred).
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• Proof of High School diploma/GED.
• Ability to meet New York State-specific requirements, including:
• First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
• Cleared tuberculosis test.
• Proof of MMR vaccination.

Skills

Pay

$17.00–$20.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–8:05 AM and 2:50 PM–6:30 PM.
