Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming, safe, and engaging classroom using developmentally appropriate practices and positive behavior guidance.
- Plan and implement meaningful, play-based learning experiences that support each child's overall development.
- Observe children's growth and document progress using assessment tools.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers through open and respectful communication.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe learning environment.
- Utilize childcare management software for attendance, communication, and daily documentation.
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators and support staff to provide exceptional care and education.
- Participate in indoor and outdoor activities and perform the physical demands of caring for young children, including lifting up to 40 pounds and regularly bending, stooping, climbing, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
Requirements
- Qualified as a Teacher under Minnesota DHS Rule 3.
- A degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with toddler or preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare setting preferred.
- Passion for play-based learning and child development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to maintaining professional standards consistent with DCYF Rule 3, NAEYC accreditation, and Calvary Church expectations.
- Desire to support the mission of Calvary Church and contribute to a Christ-centered early learning environment.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
