Part Time Early Childhood Teacher

Responsibilities

• Facilitate parent-child interactive activities.
• Teach Gymboree classes, which include age-appropriate play activities on custom-designed play equipment, songs, parachute play, and bubbles.
• Teach Gymboree Music classes, involving instrument activities, singing, dancing, and exploring various music styles.
• Teach Arts classes, offering hands-on activities like painting, sculpting, collage making, and movement activities that support different art themes.
• Assist with additional program opportunities such as Gymboree on the Go and School Skills.
• Prepare and lead birthday parties throughout the month.
• Create and follow lesson plans based on the Gymboree curriculum.
• Handle customer inquiries via phone and in person.
• Support off-site grassroots events as needed.
• Manage the online database and attend designated staff meetings and trainings.
• Maintain site standards, including cleaning, stocking, pricing merchandise, and assisting with equipment changes.

Requirements

• Experience working with children aged newborn to five years old is preferred.
• Strong group leadership skills are essential.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Excellent phone and customer service skills are necessary.
• Ability to lift at least 20 lbs. and move play equipment is required.
• A flexible schedule is necessary due to weekday, evening, and weekend class times.
