Responsibilities
- Provide clerical support for civil, criminal, traffic, probation, and administrative court proceedings.
- Aid members of the public, attorneys, law enforcement personnel, and other court stakeholders with professionalism and excellent customer service.
- Prepare notices of hearings, court documents, and probation appointments to ensure accurate scheduling and timely case processing.
- Court schedules among judges, prosecutors, attorneys, and law enforcement agencies.
- Process court-related financial transactions, including fines, costs, fees, bonds, and civil escrow payments, while maintaining accurate records.
- Work with defendants to review financial circumstances, establish payment arrangements when appropriate, or communicate recommendations to the court.
- Prepare juror summonses and juror payment vouchers.
- Affix to reports, special projects, and other administrative assignments as needed.
- Utilize court technology and software systems, including cash register systems, personal computers, mainframe applications, CLEMIS, LEIN, and County-specific software to complete daily responsibilities.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Education Development Test.
- At least three (3) years full-time experience in a court system or comparable qualifications that meet the Court Administrator's approval.
- Knowledge of and experience in the operations, policies, and procedures of a district court.
- Familiarity with current word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, and Internet software.
