Part Time - Custodian

About the Role

Maintenance/Custodian responsible for cleaning, maintenance, and grounds upkeep in school buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning of classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, and offices.
• Maintain floors, carpets, furniture, and windows; replace light bulbs.
• Set up and break down furniture and equipment for events.
• Clear snow, spread sand, and perform groundskeeping duties.
• Receive deliveries, assist with unloading and storing supplies.
• Empty wastebaskets and support recycling efforts.
• Conduct repairs and cleaning tasks, especially during school vacations.
• Assist visitors and support school events.

Requirements

• Ability to follow work orders and communicate effectively.
• Experience with cleaning tools and equipment.
• Physical ability to work outdoors and at heights.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and chemical handling.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license or own transportation.
