About the role
Under the supervision of the Head of Maintenance, Substitute Custodians are responsible for ensuring the safety and cleanliness of school facilities.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and other areas
- Performing minor repairs
- Maintaining floors and carpets
- Washing windows
- Emptying trash and replenishing supplies
- Clearing snow
- Making minor repairs
- Other assigned duties
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Physical requirements
- Standing and walking
- Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds
- Reaching, bending, or crouching
Work environment
The work environment varies from moderate to loud noise levels typical of a school setting.
