Part Time Coordinator I, Recreational Sports
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The PT Coordinator I, Recreational Sports oversees and facilitates the day-to-day operations of the Fitness Training Center and Sport Club Programs. This role involves coordinating support functions, implementing and promoting Sports and Recreation programs, assisting in the maintenance of athletic supplies and fitness equipment, assisting in the set-up and breakdown of Sports and Rec events, and assisting students, faculty, and staff with questions related to the Fitness Training Center and Sports programs.
The coordinator also ensures safe and structured programs, abides by all rules in the college's Policy and Procedure manual, including safety waivers, recruitment of players, GPA, and eligibility guidelines, and performs other reasonable, related duties as assigned.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist with the daily operations of the Fitness Training Center
- Act as a general point of contact within the area of specialty
- Implement and promote Sports and Recreation programs
- Aid in the maintenance of all athletic supplies and fitness equipment
- Aid in the set-up and breakdown of Sports and Rec events
- Assist students, faculty, and staff with questions related to the FTC and Sports programs
- Ensure safe and structured programs
- Absorb by all rules in the college's Policy and Procedure manual, including safety waivers, recruitment of players, GPA, and eligibility guidelines
- Perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned

- Knowledge of how score clocks work
- Knowledge of field lining equipment
- Ability to use Email, Excel spreadsheets, MS Office, PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of sports clubs
- Understanding of college rules and policy regulations
Physical Abilities
- The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile.
- No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
Work Schedule And Conditions
- Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
- Travel with club sports teams as needed on some evenings and weekends
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and at least 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to become certified within the first 30 days after hire
Salary
The hourly Pay Rate is $17.58
