Part time Cook / Long Term Care / 5am-1pm

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance in receiving and storing food and supplies to prevent waste and ensure quality products.
• Ensures items are dated, labeled, and stored correctly.
• Utilizes proper food handling techniques.
• Reviews menus, therapeutic menus, recipes, and production sheets before preparing meals;
• Prepares and serves diets according to plans using proper portions and special diet items.
• Fulfills standardized recipes and special diet orders, preparing sufficient quantities to meet all service requirements.
• Tests and tastes foods of all consistencies for proper appearance, flavor, aroma, and temperature, adjusting as necessary.
• Serves as supervisor when needed.

  Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare food service is preferred, though not required.
  • Banquet/Catering experience is preferred, though not required.

  Pay

  $16-$20 per hour

  Schedule

  12pm-8pm - 5 days a week
