Part-Time Community Associate

Part-time, 20 hours per week — Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. On‑site at 2033 Gateway Place, 5th Floor, San Jose, CA 95110.

About the Role

As a Community Associate, you’ll work closely with new and existing customers across a variety of industries, creating and maintaining your own community within the center. You’ll handle administrative and support needs so customers can focus on running their businesses.

A Typical Day

• Arrive before opening to ensure the center is ready and check for any issues missed by cleaners.
• Greet customers throughout the morning: provide Wi‑Fi codes, confirm package deliveries, direct guests to meeting rooms, set up projectors, and point out amenities.
• Connect incoming calls to the appropriate customers.
• Verify that all services are properly charged for accurate invoicing.
• Sort incoming mail and manage ongoing customer requests; follow up with customers (e.g., notify when a package is waiting).
• Assist afternoon customers with printing, invoices, and facility issues (e.g., temperature adjustments via service portal).
• Plan and promote center networking events: draft e‑invites, create and post physical posters.
• Engage prospects touring the center, highlight community benefits, and encourage membership.
• Close out the day: wrap up meetings, direct guests to nearby dining, tidy the space, and secure the center.

Requirements

• Strong communicator who builds professional relationships and empathizes with customer needs (ideally 1+ years of customer service experience).
• Takes ownership of problems and finds solutions.
• Positive, enthusiastic, and adaptable to fast‑changing situations.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic IT equipment.
• Legally eligible to work in the country of application and at least 18 years old.
