Responsibilities

  • Supervises recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of new staff.
  • Provides training for new employees as needed.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the screening program.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Oversees the oversight of all newborn hearing data for assigned hospitals.
  • Compiles and reports data (# screened, refer rate, and LTF) to HSA and hospital management as needed.
  • Serves as an on-site resource for screeners and hospital staff.
  • Conducts training sessions and competency checks as needed.
  • Performs duties of Newborn Screening Technician as needed.
  • Ensures data accuracy for newborns requiring additional screening and LTF.
  • Communicates with facilities conducting follow-up testing and ensures obtaining best possible information on results of diagnostic testing.
  • Maintains accurate Hi Track data, weekly.
  • Executes state’s EHDI Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines.
  • Oversight of timely and accurate onboarding of screeners by monitoring the onboarding document.
  • Ensures accurate delivery of billing documents for all assigned hospitals.
  • Contributes actively with improvements of the screening service to ensure delivery matching hospital's needs.

Education And Experience

  • Audiology degree required and incumbent must maintain licensure if required within the assigned regional states.
  • Experience leading a team in a hospital setting, a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of Audiology Equipment and Uses.
  • Experience in newborn hearing screening a plus!

Travel

  • This position is subject to travel up to 25% of the time.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and sit for long periods of time during a daily routine.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
