About the role
Seeking a registered nurse for a full-time night shift role on a 43-bed Med/Surg unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participate in activities supporting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families, ensuring effective communication across care settings.
- Utilize critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
- This position is safety-sensitive, requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
- Licenses: Registered Nurse (RN).
- Experience: No prior experience required; less than 2 years preferred for higher ladder levels.
