Part-Time Clinical Laboratory Assistant

Role Overview: This position supports technical lab staff by handling the collection, receipt, and processing of biological specimens, preparing samples for testing, and performing waived or limited moderate complexity testing following CLIA requirements. Key Responsibilities: Assist with specimen collection, processing, and preparation for analysis.Perform designated testing procedures in compliance with policies, regulations, and professional standards.Ensure proper handling of specimens, adhering to safety protocols to mitigate exposure risks.Maintain accurate documentation and follow instructions from senior technical staff. Qualifications & Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy/CLA certification required.Strong reading, writing, math skills, and attention to detail.Effective communication and ability to work independently and as part of a team.Basic computer skills and familiarity with laboratory procedures.Physical ability to stand, walk, lift weights up to 25 pounds, and use handling equipment. Preferred Experience & Knowledge: Previous clinical laboratory experience or completion of a laboratory assistant program.Knowledge of specimen handling, medical terminology, and laboratory safety standards.Ability to perform detailed work, multi-task, problem-solve, and follow instructions accurately.
