Clinical Lab Assistant - Part-Time
About the role
Support our busy Clinical Lab by helping keep lab operations moving. You'll process routine and STAT testing, pick up and accession specimens, label and deliver slides, file and retrieve slides/blocks, monitor temperatures, and support accurate report archival. You'll also provide excellent service to patients, providers, and medical staff by ensuring proper patient identification, accurate specimen labeling, timely data entry, scanning, and faxing. This role is a great fit for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and able to prioritize STAT, ASAP, routine, and pre-op specimens in a fast-paced lab environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform CLIA waived and moderate complexity testing
- Troubleshoot workflow issues
- Follow clinic and laboratory policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the lab team to meet patient care needs
Location & Schedule
Location: Padden Commerce Park (12019 NE 99th St Ste 1780 Vancouver, WA 98682)
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 1:00PM to 8:00PM; Saturday from 7:30AM to 2:30PM
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two years' experience working in a healthcare, laboratory, and/or combination of education and experience in phlebotomy/lab sciences preferred
Pay & Benefits
Hiring range: generally between $20.59 - $24.68 per hour, placement based on evaluation of experience.
Differentials available: Evening (after 5:30p) - $3.00/hour; Weekend - $2.62/hour
