Lab Assistant - Part Time

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support (such as intake, Quality Assurance, communication, and charge entry)
- Input data into Electronic Medical Records Nextech
- Log incoming slides and prepares slides for physician
- Log Pathology Reports, accession and pull charts for physician review
- File slides and blocks
- Comply with safety regulations
- Review all slides and documentation to ensure information is accurate
- May assist with maintenance of Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes
- May assist with ordering laboratory supplies and appropriately store supplies
- May assist with maintenance of current policies and procedures for all lab functions
- May assist with the overall responsibility for maintenance and storage of all lab records and patient slides, according to law
- Input of diagnosis codes to prepare for finalizing reports for pathologists
- Any other duties as required to ensure Qualderm Dermatology operations are successful
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years experience in lab or medical office setting required
- Understanding of medical terminology preferred
- Associates Degree required
