CLINICAL ASSISTANT-Part Time

Alliance For Children is the children’s advocacy center serving all of Tarrant County. Since 1992, over 70,000 children have benefitted from Alliance For Children’s teamed investigations and coordinated approach. Alliance For Children is a nonprofit organization that operates child-friendly centers located in Arlington, Fort Worth and Hurst. It is our mission to protect Tarrant County children from child abuse through teamed investigations, healing services, and community education. About the role

This part-time, bilingual (Spanish/English) Clinical Assistant supports the clinical team at their designated center by greeting clients, assisting with needs or questions, and notifying clinical members of client arrivals.

Responsibilities

• Make weekly reminder calls for individual and group clients.
• Ensure weekly appointment reminders are sent out properly.
• Send letters to clients as needed.
• Answer and document client phone calls in a timely manner.
• Enter closed files in the Apricot 360 and Access database programs.
• Occasionally support clients in the waiting area.
• Route all subpoenas to their designated center and manage subpoenas at the center.
• Assemble monthly graduation baskets and print graduation certificates.
• Enter weekly group attendance.
• Supervise volunteers on an as-needed basis.
• Perform other job duties as requested by immediate supervisor or Chief Executive Officer.

Schedule

12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bilingual: English/Spanish abilities required.
• Two years of relative work experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and some knowledge of PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with virtual platforms.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
• Strong organizational skills; self-starter.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance if driving for agency purposes.
• Must successfully complete annual criminal and civil background checks.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and present in a positive, professional manner at all times.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission of Alliance For Children.

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
• Able to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead.
• Able to operate a telephone and computer.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Moderate independent travel by private auto required.
