Lab Assistant - Part Time

Responsibilities

  • Receive, sort, and prepare clinical lab specimens
  • Perform data entry and scan specimen information
  • Ensure lab equipment functionality and perform minor maintenance
  • Troubleshoot specimen issues
  • Replenish supplies
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment
  • Complete logs and administrative tasks
  • Follow SOPs for safety and quality

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred experience in hospital or lab specimen processing
  • Comfort handling biological specimens
  • Accurate specimen identification
  • Basic computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Work efficiently in a fast‑paced setting
  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods
  • Pass a color‑blindness test
  • Flexibility for overtime
  • Strong communication and customer‑service skills
  • Ability to work independently or in teams
