Part time Clinical Instructor/ Clinical Pharmacist

The Retzky College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice is seeking a part-time, motivated professional for a Clinical Instructor/Clinical Pharmacist role assigned to the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System’s Hospital Pharmacy Services. Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently review and verify physicians’ medication orders.
- Reconcile medications utilized in surgical cases.
- Resolve medication issues with health care providers and patients.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Direct the activities performed by pharmacy technicians.
- Serve as a medication-related resource for medical and nursing staff.
- Provide didactic and clinical experiential teaching/training in the Doctor of Pharmacy Program.
- Precept PGY1 and PGY2 residents.
Requirements
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited PharmD program.
- Licensed, or eligible for, Illinois licensure as a pharmacist by start date.
- Clinical experience in contemporary hospital pharmacy services.
- Qualifications for an academic faculty position in Pharmacy Practice at UIC College of Pharmacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency.
- Ten years of inpatient pharmacy experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven record of positive interactions with pharmacists, technicians, nurses, and physicians.
- Experience in safe handling and preparation of IV admixtures and chemotherapy; compounding knowledge and skills.
Pay
The budgeted salary range for this part-time position is $89,273.91 – $93,737.61, competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience while considering internal equity.
