Part-Time Clinical Pharmacist
About the role
Seeking a motivated pharmacist to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing exceptional pharmaceutical care and clinical services to diverse patients. Assess, monitor, initiate, and modify medication use based on patient condition and age-specific criteria. Ensure accurate medication preparation and dispensing, preventing and resolving medication-related issues. Supervise and direct supportive personnel, including technicians, interns, and volunteers. Counsel and educate patients to promote optimal drug therapy. Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, documenting activities and communications. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and safety within medication use processes. The department uses advanced pharmacy technologies and offers a pharmacy residency program.
Responsibilities
- Manage workflow, oversee staff, and ensure adherence to procedures and regulations
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees
- Serve as a medication therapy resource, providing drug information and staff training
- Evaluate and optimize medication orders for patient safety and outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctorate preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience; no supervisory experience necessary
- Licenses including RPh and Medication Therapy Services in MO required
- Strong knowledge of medication therapy management, pharmacy operations, and regulatory compliance
Schedule
Evening shifts, a 7 on/7 off schedule, and holiday rotations.
