Part Time Childcare Substitute Educator (Renton School District)

Job Summary

Right At School Educator positions are available for part-time roles, offering flexible schedules to fit around school days. This includes before school and after school shifts.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play.
• Communicate effectively with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Maintain regular meetings with the Program Manager to discuss professional progress and team accountability.

Requirements

• Proof of High school diploma/GED required.
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements such as FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter, Cleared TB, and Food Handlers Card.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Pay and Schedule

The pay range for Right At School Educators is $20-$22 per hour, based on education and experience. Shifts are Monday through Friday, with split shift availability required. Specific shifts are provided in the Responsibilities section.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who possess outstanding customer service and relationship building skills, works well in a team environment, have at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age, and have excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel. A drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living, respect for and dedication to working with children with special needs, and a love for children are also essential qualities.
