Part Time Childcare Substitute Educator (Washougal School District)

About the role

Right At School is seeking Substitute Educators to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give parents peace of mind through safe, fun, and meaningful extended day enrichment programs. Our programs serve students across 17 states, providing before school, after school, and break camp opportunities where children can learn, play, and grow.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities.
• Document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Deliver a dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school-day learning.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain safety, well-being, and attention of all children.
• Support homework completion, lead fun fitness activities, and guide children at play.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability.

Requirements

• Proof of high school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements including FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter, cleared TB test, proof of MMR, and Food Handlers Card.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• 18+ years of age.

Pay

$18.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

• Monday–Friday.
• Split shift: Before School 6:30 am – 9:10 am and After School 3:40 pm – 6:00 pm (Wednesday 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm).
