Part Time Childcare Educator - MA - Springfield Public Schools

About the role

Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and provide peace of mind to families.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
• Monitor Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Able to lift 25 lbs.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

• Must meet state-specific requirements for Massachusetts, including First Aid and CPR training, tuberculosis test, proof of MMR, and relevant educational background.

Pay

$16.00-$19.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Monday to Friday 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM
