About the role

Educator Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. The mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals through positive guidance and effective classroom management. Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Document attendance, incidents, and other observations. Communicate effectively with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Able to lift 25 lbs.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

• First Aid and CPR-in-person.
• Cleared tuberculosis test.
• Proof of MMR.
• Have a Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate’s Degree; and have 3 months of experience working with school age children.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent; and have 6 months of experience working with school age children including 3 months of supervised experience at a school age child care program.
• Have nine months of experience with school age children including 3 months of supervised experience at a school age child care program.

Pay

$16.00-$19.00 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

Monday to Friday 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM.
