Part Time Childcare Educator (Hamilton School District - Sussex)

About the role
You’ll drive the mission by organizing program materials for lessons and activities, documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations, and delivering our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
- Using your coursework training and our in-person training, model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children
- Support homework completion, lead fun fitness activities, and guide children at play
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel
- Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability
Requirements
- 18 years old or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 240 hours or more working in a licensed childcare facility as an assistant AND one of the following:
- 2 non-credit department-approved courses in early childhood education
- 2 credits in early childhood and one noncredit department-approved course in early childhood
- A certificate from the WI registry as a child care teacher
- Completed Staff Health Report and clear TB test within 30 days of hire date (can be used if completed within past 12 months)
- At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age
- Ability to lift 25 lbs

Pay
$15–18 per hour
Schedule
Mon–Fri, 6:30–9:30 AM and 3:00–6:00 PM (schedule may vary depending on school)
