About the role

Right At School has been providing safe, fun, and meaningful extended day enrichment programs for more than a decade, serving more than 35,000 students in 17 states. Our before school, after school, and break camp programs give students a place to learn, play, grow, and be a kid. Responsibilities

  • Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents, and other observations
  • Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way
  • Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children
  • Support homework completion, lead fun fitness activities, and guide children at play
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel
  • Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability

Requirements

  • 18 years old or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 240 hours working in a licensed childcare facility as an assistant AND one of the following:
    • 2 non-credit department-approved courses in early childhood education
    • 2 credits in early childhood and one non-credit department-approved course in early childhood
    • A certificate from the WI registry as a child care teacher
  • Completed Staff Health Report and clear TB test within 30 days of hire date (can use if completed within the past 12 months)
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs

Schedule

Mon - Fri, 6:30 - 9:30 AM and 3:00 - 6:00 PM (schedule may vary depending on school).

Pay

$15 - $18 per hour.
